BOOKING & PAYMENT
When making your booking we ask for a 50% deposit if the booking is made more than 6 weeks I advance. If you book 6 weeks or less in advance we ask for full payment. Should you have to cancel we will do our best to re-book the yurt and if successful will refund you the full amount less £100 admin fee. However if we are not able to re-sell the holiday we cannot offer a refund. Please make sure you have holiday insurance to cover you in the unlikely event of this happening.
If in exceptional circumstances we have to cancel your holiday, for example fire or flood we will of course give you a full refund of your holiday but we cannot accept liability or responsibility for any loss, including consequential loss. We are able to hold a booking for 24hrs by prior arrangement if you contact us over the phone. We ask that payments are made by bank transfer.
Looking After the Yurts
We want your stay to be perfect and will ensure your yurt is clean and furnished to the highest standard. We understand that the majority of our guests are careful, and also that accidents sometimes happen. If you do break or damage anything please let us know straight away so that we can replace or repair it for the next guests. We will only charge for replacement in exceptional cases as we accept that a degree of wear and tear is to be expected.
Each yurt has a wood burning stove and we ask guests to take full responsibility for your own safety. Please make sure you NEVER dry clothes on them or cover the stoves in any way. Please only use kiln dried wood in the yurts. Please do not wear outdoor shoes in the yurts – for this reason we advise you to bring slippers and other easy to kick off footwear. Please leave your accommodation and outside area as you found it.
Facilities and Cleaning
The showers and toilets are communal and we ask that you keep these tidy and are respectful of others. Each yurt has its own outdoor fire pit and cooking facilities but the washing up area is shared so please clean up straight after use. We will empty the bins, clean the showers and loos and take the recycling away. to help us with this please sort your rubbish and recycling into the correct bins.
Arrival and Departure
Your yurt will be ready from 3.30pm on the day of your arrival. Please check in at the cottage on arrival and let us know if you are going to be later than planned so that someone is here to greet you. Departure is by 10.30am prompt unless otherwise agreed.

We are a small and peaceful site and do not allow amplified music. We request that all noise is kept to a minimum, especially after 10.30pm.
Each yurt has a carbon monoxide detector and a fire extinguisher. We also provide heat resistant gloves for loading the stove and fire guards. Candles or paraffin lanterns are not permitted inside the yurt. Please only use the designated fire pits for your campfire. Campfires are to be attended at all times and must be kept small and manageable. In the unlikely event that a fire gets out of control due to negligence and you have to use the fire extinguisher a £50 charge will be made to cover the cost of a replacement. A bag of firewood and kindling is provided and further bags can be purchased at £5 a bag thereafter. Never leave the campfire or log burner unattended.
Parents and/or guardians are expected to supervise their children at all times. Guests are welcome to walk around the secure grounds and explore the area. We take every care to ensure you have a safe and enjoyable holiday, but cannot be held liable for any accidents or consequential loss.
We cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to personal possessions or vehicles.
All children are welcome, please let us know if you are bringing a baby and a cot so we can arrange the furniture accordingly.
Guests must take full responsibility for any children in their party. Children are encouraged to play and explore the site and we have made every effort to ensure guests safety but we cannot accept responsibility for any accidental injuries.
Well behaved dogs are permitted but please do not let them sleep on the beds or furniture as future guests may be allergic. All dogs must be on a lead in the camping fields, we do have a designated ‘off lead’ field but please make sure you pick up after your dog. Many people ask why we require dogs to be on a lead even when they book the whole site. however we have found that through no fault of the owners, when dogs are off lead they leave a lot of mess behind that owners don’t know is there and with so many falilies and children staying it is awful if guests end up with mess on their feet.
We are in a sheep farming area so if you know your dog is not ‘sheep friendly’ please make sure it is on a lead when walking and clean up any mess your dog leaves behind. We allow a maximum of 3 dogs on ste at any one time. No dogs in the kitchen please.
Smoking is permitted outside the yurts but please dispose of cigarettes and any associated rubbish.
We are a small and peaceful site and do not allow amplified music. We request that all noise is kept to a minimum, especially after 10.30pm. Although there are no near neighbours we ask our guests to be respectful of other glampers. We are happy for you to play guitar and quiet music but please turn any music off after 10.00pm. As we are a peaceful site we do not accept all adult groups, hen or stag parties.
In the unlikely event of inappropriate, dangerous or illegal behaviour, we reserve the right to ask guests to leave immediately.
Mobiles and Wifi
We provide mobile phone charging points but can not accept responsibility for any loss or damage to them. Wi-Fi is provided near the cottage which we are happy for you to use to download from. Most phone signals are fine on site however some providers can be intermittent in some areas of the site. Please ask if you need to use a telephone in an emergency.
If you have any further questions or suggestions, please call Jo on 07866272711 / 01544 370471. We very much look forward to your visit.
