Slow but steady progress and the inside walls are going in. Itchy insulation is my least favourite job so far but worth it for the cosy cubicles! We took a welcome break one evening to try out the new cooking pots with Jack and Pauline who cooked us a glorious chicken stew on the open fire. Thanks to Outdoor Kitchen the pots were amazing, our glampers will love them.

With the deadline of Western Power arriving to lay the electricity cable to the shower block we had a mad week last week digging in the rain to make a trench for the cable and the water pipe. Digger sunk twice and the field now looks like we had a festival but it’s in! We had some brilliant help from my sister Jane, her partner Dave and my lovely niece Rachel who came for a relaxing week to visit her auntie and found herself up to her chin in mud. Matt was amazing on the digger and is now looking forward to laying the road…. (not exactly his words). Thanks also to Leslie and Jack for their help laying the trench sand. Meter people arrive this week and we will soon have power which will make building much easier. The sun is shining now and the field is drying out nicely.
