New Facilities

New Facilities

We are delighted to announce that we have been beavering away building an additional shower and toilet. The new loo and shower is tucked away in the orchard near to Russet yurt. They are of the same level of luxury as the other facilities with a power shower and flushing loos. We are really proud of them and hope our guests feel a sense of fun and indulgence in what we have created.

Spring is here, although the temperature doesn’t yet quite reflect spring, but before too long we will be enjoying some lovely sunshine. It has been a long hard winter for so many people and we are all so looking forward to happier times when we can socialise and holiday with loved ones, family and friends.

We are operating a similar system to last year in respect to COVID procedures. Based on the current Government guidelines when we open on April 12th we will only open 3 of our 4 yurts.

Spring has made a huge difference to Valley Yurts and the lambs are making a big contribution. We are not paying them to provide entertainment but they are everywhere, looking through the fences and providing a beautiful backdrop to the site. Birds too are adding to the pleasures of the area. One expert says he has recorded a hundred species around the valley , but you don’t need to be a professional naturalist. All you need is a pair of binoculars or a keen eye to enjoy the range of feathered and other wildlife that is emerging after the winter. Other watchers include the aerial predators – the red kites and kestrels - which circle high above the fields watching for movement.
